Is this the official SAT to ACT conversion?

It uses the College Board / ACT concordance table we also use in the acceptance calculator. Treat it as a match between scales, not a guarantee that a school will read your score that way.

Should I retake the test?

Only if you are below that school's middle 50% and the school still reads scores. Forty more SAT points does nothing at a test-blind college, and little once you are already above the 75th percentile.
